andy and i also discovered the blake pub last night. briefly featured in the full monty, it wasn't a pub either of us had been to but it was really good and so cool to hang out with friends.
and i just want everyone to know that i love my husband.
Onwards and upwards Marshall family! A family of four exploring how to live in a way that keeps making choices towards joy, peace and connection. Not always getting it right but changing the world one small choice at a time :)

underneath the stars i'll meet you,
underneath the stars i'll greet you,
and there beneath the stars i'll leave you,
before you go of your own free will.
go gently.
here beneath the stars i'm mending,
i'm here beneath the stars not ending,
why on earth am i pretending,
i'm here again, the stars befriending,
they come and go of their own free will.
go gently.
all the americans apart from stacy have deserted us. this came as a bit of a shock to me as i thought they were going to be around for at least another few days. Greenbelt has gone from being a weekend event to week long void in the summer of 2003!
at least it gives me space for rest which i really need. anita bought me a bath bomb from LUSH which has glitter in it and i'm going to enjoy that later on today!
still burnt out and struggling but God is good and i like my new job even though it's a little slow at the moment!
ah yes
found it.
joel.
the girls are whispering downstairs...shhhhh...
now upstairs.
well i guess tonight is a night of fotos....
as stacy gets packed upstairs, lamenting the leaving of her very well-to-do, civilised english manner:
we are then welcoming back, moments later, cathers back to native england. fitting perfectly into the english country garden as pictured:
she discusses the relative differences between schneider aventinus and erdinger weisbier with bea. as it was, i went predoninantly for the aventinus, as usual, according to the wise hodgson's recommendation (although i did try again, the chimay red, pleasantly surprised by it's taste/ hoppiness)... a photo to follow...
well greg did follow, we got to the devonshire cat, the finest purveyors of fine beers in fine sheffield, greg is moving to sheffield to do TT:
but meanwhile rachel (sprorting her new haircut, thank you to erika) arrives a little late to sample something or other and say goodbye to stacey, little knowing that stacey, whilst staying in sheffield a few days more will also make it to reenbelt in the same car on thursday.....
the following day i:
oh no one takes fotos of me. the man behind the camara, never in front, i will (most likely be travellinf to greenblelt with simon ennis (the menace) on the friday to join with other for who knows what aside from seeing kate rusby play live on the friday eve. am currently listening to her new album, out today (yesterday?...) the most consistantly listened to artist in (my) history (listening to her on average probably once per day since 31st dec, '02), the coming of her new album has been possibly the most eagerly waited of releases in the past year or two.
i mean, even when the scanner and msn messenger started up, the noise windows XP makes, even that's in tune with her music! of course, someone such as nathan might take that as a slur against her musical character - if that were the case (and i must say i have reason this week to dispute his case for mac's!!), please over look it - whilst her new album is not as obvious as ten (which was a retrospective of ten years music) her new album of new stuff may seem to be more a pleasantly slow burner, and still making kate rusby's "ten" possibly the most compelling album i've heard in the last 4 years. in fact, not since an early 90's pearl jam or smashing pumpkins album have i been so consistantly into a cd than this year. and so maybe that brings me to the end of today comic strip of not so comic events. have found out this evening that i may well be an INFP (meyers briggs) and confirmed my position as an observer in the noneagrames (or whatever they're called) and said a tentative goodbye to the texans that have made mine and bea's life so interesting, colourfull and fun over the past few weeks. already missing them and plotting their return for when the coffee shop opens sometime this year/ in the new year.
the end.
there are definite gaps where key people are missing - ted and brad in particular come to mind. WE LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU!
i enjoyed getting to know sarah and bruce stuart - incredible shyness had come over me the night before so i hadn't talked to them at all. oops. it's amazing how this wabiSABI community works - it also ties in with a girl called maria, who's come from denmark, turning up. she studies anthropology and thought she'd be loking mainly at st tom's and what it looks like as a church and has now been opened up to the crazy world of international communities, blogging and wabiSABI. God help her!!
the sun is still shining - my garden really needs a water. i'm about to have a shower and then head off to pick up 25 sausage sandwhiches and 25 bacon sandwiches for our brunch.
and today is andrew "crazy man" hodgson's birthday so he's coming round for bea's famous chicken and peaches and a few more interestingly odd beers... yummy yummy yummy...
this is viv-the-amazing who is living with us and who we love very very much.
ok - this is why i love our digital camare so much - sure we dont get the nice clean crisp photos, nor do we get the sharp photos we used to get on our point-and-click, but ones like this? i would have no idea how to get any other way... i thought this was appropraite to put up tonight having just had our "s" party (turn your head 90' on its side to see the "s" (completely by chance i should add...) - there'll be more photos tomorrow (and there are some good ones to come!), but enjoy this one while you can...
i) as a covenant between me and God that I am beautiful no matter how i feel.
ii)as a celebration of my new job as disability support workewr (DSW) coordinator.
thank you and goodnight.
