prague, beers

czech beers i've said it before, but this gives you an idea of what you pay in the centre of prague, the capital of the czech republic, on a burger stand for your beers.

the 2 tall beer cans, the krusovice is amazing stuff - far far far better than anything you'll get in a yer average pub over here. the pilsner (in comparison to other czech stuff is pretty poor). coke you know - the same size - 500ml bottles - tastes a little more cinnamony over there. the water i didnt really try, but bea got into it a lot...

and how much is 35,- crowns worth? about 70p.

in the local supermarket, you could buy packs of 10 x 500ml bottles of staropramen - of a similar quailty to the krusovice - for 85,- crowns - about £1.70, working out as 17p a pint for some of the best lager you'll ever have.

how much do youy pay in our own capital for a pint of lager? £3.00ish i heard...
